OhioReferee.Com Trouble Shooting Tips

  1. "Cookies" – Always have "Cookies" enabled by your browser. Some browsers may have cookies disabled by default. In Internet Explorer go to "Tools" on the menu at the top of the window. Once that menu opens up click on "Internet Options". Once there select the "Privacy" tab then click on the "Advanced" button. You now should see a dialog box for "Cookies". Make sure that "Override Automatic Cookie Handling" is Checked then at least check "Always allow session cookies". Then click the OK button then click on the main "OK" button for the "Internet Options".

    For Netscape go to the "Edit" menu at the top of the window. Once open click on "Preferences". Here you will see a list of items on the left hand side of the Preferences window. Double click on "Privacy and Security" to open more options. Then click on "Cookies". From here either click on "Accept Cookies Normally" or "Accept for Current Session Only" then click the "OK" button at the bottom of the Window.

  2. Corrupt "Cookies" – Sometimes cookies may be corrupted and prevent a user from properly using the web site. Deleting "Cookies" may help. In Internet Explorer go to "Tools" on the menu at the top of the window. Once that menu opens up click on "Internet Options". Once there click on the "General" tab which is usually shown by default. From here click on the "Delete" cookies button in the "Temporary Internet Files" box. A confirmation dialog box may then pop up asking you to confirm your action. Just click on "OK".

    For Netscape go to the "Edit" menu at the top of the window. Once open click on "Preferences". Here you will see a list of items on the left hand side of the Preferences window. Double click on "Privacy and Security" to open more options. Then click on "Cookies". From here click on "Cookie Manager" which opens a new dialog box with a button to "Remove All Cookies".

  3. AOL – America Online and similar programs can sometimes interfere with the posting of data back to the web server. Once you have connected to America Online simply "Minimize" the program and open up Internet Explorer or Netscape separately and log into the web site from there.
  4. Popup Windows – Software that blocks "Pop Up" windows can interfere with using the web site. Try to disable pop up window blocking for OhioReferee.Com if your pop up blocking allows you to target specific web sites. Otherwise disable the pop up window blocking completely.
